Xiaoxu Yang Lab
Understand human health and development with the help from genomic mosaicism
WELCOME TO THE YANG LAB
The Yang Lab at the Department of Human Genetics, University of Utah focuses on understanding human health and development by using mosaic variants. Our current research interests include:
How environmental factors are shaping the germline mutational landscape. How does this further affect the genetic health of the next generation
Using mosaic variants as a tool to trace human embryonic development
How somatic mosaic mutations are causing human disorders
Develop new computational and experimental methodologies to study mosaicism
The Yang Lab is interested in genomic mosaicism, its detection, and its applications in understanding biological processes, diseases, and human development.
