Hi, I’m Xiaolu, and I’m glad you stopped by!
I’m a Human Factors and UX Researcher who thrives at the intersection of human behavior, technology, and design. My background in psychology and human factors has taught me one simple truth: when we deeply understand people, their motivations, cognitive limits, and decision-making, we design safer, smarter, and more meaningful systems that can improve lives.
My passion for understanding human behavior began in psychology labs, evolved through my master’s and Ph.D. research, and solidified through hands-on work leading national studies on driver behavior and usability testing across complex systems. I’ve spent the past several years exploring how humans interact with automation, mobility technologies, and digital interfaces, using mixed-methods research to uncover not just what users do, but why they do it.
I’m always interested in connecting with like-minded individuals. If you also value research that connects data to human impact, I’d love to connect!
