Speed Racer
A loud and unusual guy who takes racing a little too seriously. But don’t let his appearance fool you! He’s actually pretty friendly.
Rocket was recently plucked from Team Breakout to join Team Screwball; since then, there’s been a lot of media buzz predicting he could be the next big racer in XFD if he gets his act together… but he really dislikes the fuss.
Rocket is a little too obsessed with going fast and does so in stupid weather conditions in his own time. He stubbornly chooses not to wear goggles so he can, “feel the wind” - causing his eyes to narrow and hair to freeze in place, giving him his scary appearance. To his coach’s surprise, he is the most supportive and positive teammate on and off the track.
đź’—Likes: Racing - Eating - Snowstorms and other crazy weather conditions
✖️Dislikes: Being told what to do - The media bothering him - Silence
🔥Strengths: Daring - Confident - Adaptable
đźš«Habits: Damages his clothes when boarding - Big grin when excited - Loud laughÂ
Relationships
Teammate
He doesn’t quite understand why Hollie has it out for him, but her entitled attitude irritates him so much that he’s willing to entertain her to see what happens.
Her fear of DASHY is hilariously pathetic to Rocket, whenever she’s being too much, he playfully threatens to have DASHY greet her whenever they’re next at an event.
Hollie takes it seriously every time, despite it never happening.
Teammate
Rocket is very amused by Slug being a weird, little gremlin with crazy-talented Combat skills.
Having experience dealing with Mr.Jack’s laziness in the past, he’s able to get Slug to do things - most of the time.
He’s teamed up with him to help decorate Ms.Cole’s belongings with googly eyes whenever they’re tired of her intense training.Â
Coach
Rocket joined because she promised to give him access to one of the gnarliest, hard-to-access mountains to shred on - but has yet to fulfill it.
She’s too stern for his liking as he doesn’t like being told what to do, but he mostly obeys her as he knows she’s the key for him to attend more fun, exciting races.Â
Acquaintance/Friend?
A peculiar person he doubts can fully take his place at Breakout, but can’t help but get excited over their new friendly rivalry - jumping at the opportunity to challenge her at any chance he gets. Mainly as an excuse to train her as a new Speed Racer.
He hopes Clover would stop asking for his coach’s autograph and get it herself.
Friend &
Ex-Teammate
Rocket wishes that, like him, she would put herself out there more as he sees her talent. In the past, he really did try his best to listen to her advice despite his temperament, and feels like he’s now a better Racer because of her.
Due to his sour relationship with Hollie, he constantly encourages Trixie to defeat her in a showdown.Â
Friend &
Ex-Teammate
Given how long they’ve known each other, he can tell how Duster feels about him leaving Breakout, but still considers him a friend and doesn’t want any drama either. Rocket misses his hot beverages and most of the time will only turn up at Breakout’s camp for them, as he’s not good at making it himself.Â
Ex-Coach
Despite everything that’s happened, he really misses Mr.Jack’s stupid face and how lax he was compared to Ms.Cole’s teachings.
He doesn’t feel totally bad about leaving, he knew he would eventually understand how Rocket felt.
He’s positive Mr.Jack will get back on his feet with Clover around.
Ex-Coach Assistant
Rocket loved Cyndy’s company when he was at Breakout, the occasional singing and bickering with her brother made the group much more entertaining.
He felt bad about Cyndy having to constantly repair his XFIRE Board and uniform, but deep down he did get a kick out of her over-reactions.Â
Aged 16
Trick Racer
An outspoken and slightly bossy fox that loves being the center of attention. She always makes sure to have snacks on hand.
Hollie’s personality can cause her to butt heads with her teammates and considers Rocket her real true rival. She is from a privileged background with the best training, resulting in her being the first to be chosen for the team. She is quite closed off and, deep down, wants to bond with others but struggles to do so.Â
Hollie feels like the only “sane” person in her team and occasionally asks for better teammates, but eventually starts to care about Slug and Rocket, and considers them her friends.
Due to previous childhood encounters, she is petrified of DASHY and will do anything to avoid her at events.
đź’—Likes: Sweets - Techno music - Praise/being the center of attention
✖️Dislikes: DASHY - Being interrupted - Being alone
🔥Strengths: Fearless - Ambitious - Spontaneous
đźš«Habits: Competitive - Hair strand bounces around based on mood - Always has snacks at handÂ
Relationships
Teammate
Rocket is her biggest threat despite being on the same team. He’s constantly taking the media spotlight away from her, sparking jealousy she struggles to control.
He often interrupts her and helps himself to her snacks without asking.
It would take a lot for her to even consider being friends with Rocket.
Teammate
Although he may not agree, Hollie has a playful bond with Slug. His blunt, sarcastic responses are utterly hilarious to her, and the fact that he copies whatever she says when confronting other teams boosts her ego tenfold.
She feels like she can rely on him as a teammate, but loses her temper when he ignores her ideas or suggestions.Â
Coach
She idolises Ms.Cole and aspires to be just like her, not realising she’s become a bit of a teacher's pet. She tries to interact with her more like a friend than her coach, which sometimes lands her in trouble.
Hollie’s convinced Ms.Cole has a secret stash of sweet goodies hidden somewhere in the camp and tries to hunt it down when she’s not around.

Combat Racer
❎Team Leader
A snarky boy who looks like he can’t be bothered to be here - which is half true. He loves to stick googly eyes on everything.
Slug had to be heavily persuaded by Ms.Cole to join the team. Despite his unwillingness, he's a top Combat racer in his age bracket with sharp aim and calculating strategies. The only reason he’s assigned team leader is because he’s the only one who doesn’t have an inflated ego.
He has a hard time dealing with his louder teammates and finds them annoying most of the time, but he eventually warms up to them.
đź’—Likes: Technology - Sleeping - Video games
✖️Dislikes: Talking to people - Being woken up - Spicy food
🔥Strengths: Honest - Quick-witted - Imaginative
🚫Habits: Hides his mouth with clothing - Falls asleep a lot - Fixated with googly eyes
Relationships
Teammate
Even though Rocket’s abrupt, loud voice gives Slug such a headache, he strangely finds him fun to be around - as much as he doesn’t want to admit it. He takes Hollie’s ego down a notch and brings some chaos to the strict nature Screwball has. He likes to challenge himself by trying to shoot Rocket down while training, making it a fun game between the two.
Teammate
The occasional teasing and bossiness is a lot for Slug to deal with, leading him to ignore her intentionally.
He’s noticed Hollie doesn’t like being on her own, so he reluctantly chooses to keep her company after training, leading them to bond more over time.
She demands he be more present at events, so the only reason he repeats whatever she says is so it looks like he’s contributing.Â
Coach
To Slug, being expected to be awake before 9am on the weekend is a crime - so out of spite, he places his googly eyes all over her belongings, sometimes with the help of Rocket.
He doesn’t care how popular or important Ms.Cole is, but doesn’t fully disrespect her, he just wishes she was nicer. Maybe then he’d be more willing to train.Â
Aged 31
Coach - Former Trick Racer
An outwardly cold and no-nonsense woman who is a world-famous XFD! Celebrity craving for even more success.
Ms.Cole sometimes regrets recruiting Screwball’s members because of their overbearing personalities, but she truly believes in their skills despite their quirks. Even with her thick skin, she’s very easily flustered and loses her cool whenever her childhood friend, Cyndy, is around.
Hailey was born without half of her right leg and adjusted to prosthetics right away. It was never really something that affected her, despite the struggles and doubts from adults and coaches during her upbringing. It all contributed to her strong will. Hailey is also heavily involved with the disabled community, raising money for charities and encouraging others to try XFD!Â
đź’—Likes: Exercise - Romance novels and movies - Luxury
✖️Dislikes: Cooking - Traveling - Ass-kissers
🔥Strengths: Steadfast - Educated - Diligent
đźš«Habits: Workaholic - Perfectionist - Short-temperedÂ
Relationships
Team Student
Ms.Cole is putting all her bets on Rocket being the next big racer. But knows it’ll take a lot of work to train him to adjust to the public and follow her instructions.
She’s even gotten into trouble with the XFD association for ordering him too many replacement uniforms. She’s yet to fulfill her promise to Rocket due to how wreckless he is - she cannot afford Screwball’s ace to be injured.
Team Student
Doesn’t enjoy the ass-kissing but loves her strong-willed determination to be a successful Trick Racer like herself.
She’s trying her best to wrangle her bossiness as it’s one of her weaknesses, preventing Screwball from being a better team.
Ms.Cole has noticed that bribing her with her favourite snacks does work quite well, though.Â
Team Student
Slug is probably the hardest to work with - she has to wrestle him to do literally anything, feeling more like a parent than a coach at times.
She wants the world to see how talented he is but his laziness is a huge hurdle to overcome.
Ms.Cole’s tried to ban his googly eyes from being dotted around camp, and on her personal belongings but to no success.
Acquaintance
She’s never liked Mr.Jack - to her he is one of, if not the most pathetic man she’d ever met, so her team members regarding Breakout as their rivals feels like an insult to her. She can’t help but admit that she’s impressed he managed to put together a new, promising team, but they’re still no threat to her.
Childhood Friend
Ms.Cole has had the biggest crush on Cyndy since childhood and hates that she hasn’t been able to see her much since becoming a successful racer.
She longs to be closer to her again but can never find the time or courage to do so…but seeing the adorable selfies she sends her melts her icy heart - making the stressful coach life easier to live with.
