My classmate came up to me and show me his problem with the windshield linkage busing that was broken. Because of the car is too old and he could not find the part for it with reasonable price. In order to help him I have to Re-engineer the windshield linkage bushing that was broken and use 3D printer to print it out.
The Top-Down approach was utilized, which involved creating individual components and subsequently joining them together to form the final product.
The part was made of plastic. After conducting a quick research, I discovered that it was typically composed of Polyoxymethylene (POM), which is also known as Acetal or Delrin. However, I couldn't find Delrin as a material option. Therefore, I created a new material in Fusion 360 and obtained its properties by conducting an online search.
