Community Outreach & Engagement

As a faculty member at UAB and a proud participant in the 2022 NNCI Accelerating Impactful Scholarship program, I am fully committed to broadening participation in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Through my research and outreach efforts, I strive to explore the social dimensions of emerging technologies and contribute to the development of a competent future workforce.

To foster STEM engagement, we will host Open Lab Days for the Birmingham community, providing an opportunity to gain first-hand insights into (1) why science matters, (2) how research is conducted, and (3) what you can contribute - regardless of background.
