Hello. I would like some advice on how to create ringtones from My Music Library. I would like to use iOS but might be willing to try using the Mac if that will work better. I know absolutely nothing about Audio editing and find it very intimidating. Not all of the ringtones I want to make are at the beginning of songs.

To confirm, did you purchase songs to use as ringtones, or did you purchase ringtones specifically from the iTunes Store? Sorry but no I was not mistaken bc now I have my previously purchased ringtones even if they did regrant them as you say. But now I have all my previously purchased ringtones redownloaded and now saved on my computer and iPhone plus iPad. Hope it works for others that have the same problem like it worked for me.

that's exactly what happened to me. I thought I was having to buy the song/ringtone again but I got an Apple notification that I had already purchased that song and would I like to download it. Great! but after the download it did not go into my ringtones - it just appeared as a song in Music.

There is no where for you to download them again for free- ringtones are not included in the iCloud feature. Applications can be redownloaded from the store at no additional cost- songs and movies can be redownloaded through iCloud (if they are available) but ringtones do not have that option. As I said, we can try to repost them for you but do not repurchase them unless you want to pay for them a second time. I encourage you to back up your purchases so you have the ability to restore them yourself if something happens to them.

this fix you posted only set the ringtone as a default ringtone as in for what ever you have for when your phone rings but it will not be listed in you default list of ringtones. still looking for way to move ringtones from SD card to default list and have them avaible at all times

If I remember correctly, for Holloween they did custome auto responses but not the ringtones.
