Why do you want that? What is missing that you need? What can we do to increase transparency?
A great example of this comes from Frank a Scrum Master in a large Finance Org.
We were being asked exactly this, to get a joined-up view of points for the teams across a large-scale delivery, and whilst a colleague and I thought this is an antipattern in the making, we decided to question the ask and lucky that we did. What the Product Manager was not getting, was the view of progress that he could both trust and share. What we agreed with him was to improve the system demo and for him to invite the required stakeholders to attend. Once the flow of joined-up work was seen and progress could be inspected and fed back upon, the ask went away.
