In PlanetSDG, the platform is open to a diverse community of Players who have different interests and objectives. Players can engage with the game, explore sustainability content, and read shared blogs for personal interests, creating a dynamic and inclusive environment.
As Players immerse themselves in the game, they have the opportunity to connect with others within the platform. Through the interactive world map feature, Players can leave pins that mark their accomplishments and solutions to specific sustainability challenges. These pins are uniquely identified with a "P" and are distinguished by their colors. Other Players can click on these pins to learn about the problems solved and the innovative solutions implemented. They are then directed to the profile of the Player who placed the pin, fostering collaboration and networking among the community.
Students who sign up as Players benefit from a direct link between themselves, their classmates, and their teacher. This connection allows for a shared learning experience within their educational institution. Moreover, students have access to a private section within their profile, enabling them to continue exploring the game and contributing their own inventions and ideas privately. This section encourages students to develop their creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Regardless of their status as students or general Players, all participants in PlanetSDG share a common goal of learning about world issues and the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
