After observing the stress levels of healthcare employees during medical shadowing, our CEO Alec Landau knew he had to do something. After a survey of a variety of health professionals, as to what they would prefer, a simple act of gratitude was the common denominator. As a result, he partnered up with Chetan Yarlagadda and Ali Idriss to form the Florida Branch, and Vivian Zhu to form the Greater Sacramento Branch. At his undergraduate institution, California Northstate’s College of Health Sciences, he formed a branch that will live on to serve the Greater Rancho Cordova area. In collaboration with Adam Doran, a Michigan branch has recently been formed.
Now that the Offering of Hope encompasses four branches across three states, we hope to expand our volunteer network to serve more healthcare and essential workers all over the country.
