At Montessori Farm Bali, we’re honored to introduce Abdoul, the Founder of our Study and Work Center for Adolescents. He is a deeply committed AMI-certified Montessori Guide for both children (ages 6–12) and adolescents (ages 12–18).
Creating a Study and Work Center for Adolescents has been his dream for many years: a vision rooted in his belief in the power of purposeful education and human potential.
With a background in engineering, a vibrant entrepreneurial spirit, and a profound sense of service, Abdoul brings clarity, warmth, and inspiration to our community.
His leadership reflects the values at the heart of Montessori Farm Bali: trust in the adolescent, love of learning, and commitment to meaningful growth.
Below, we invite you to discover his full story.
"My name is Abdoul, and I’m a joyful, grounded Educator, passionate about human development and the transformative power of education. I bring with me a love for science, a spirit of entrepreneurship, and a deep commitment to supporting young people grow.
I was born and raised in Mauritania, where my values, rhythm, and sense of community were first shaped. Later, I spent ten transformative years in Las Palmas, in the Canary Islands: living, studying, and working in a multicultural, dynamic environment that opened me even more to the world. These chapters of my life have deeply shaped who I am: open-hearted, adaptable, and always curious.
I speak seven languages, including French, English, and Spanish. For me, language is more than communication: it’s a bridge to understanding, trust, and connection.
Before becoming an Educator, I trained as a computer Engineer and created my own tech company, which I ran for five years. I loved solving problems and building things that matter. But when my first son was born, something shifted. I realized that the deepest, most lasting transformations happen during childhood and adolescence. That’s when I knew I wanted to walk beside young people: to guide, support, and learn with them.
I hold AMI certifications for both the 6–12 and 12–18 age groups. I spent five years guiding children in a bilingual Montessori school in Geneva. Then I joined the AMI Adolescent Program in Sweden, where I deepened my understanding of this unique and powerful stage of life.
I’m also a mathematician at heart. I love the logic and elegance of numbers, and even more, I love helping young people see math as something alive, creative, and empowering.
I’m also the father of two boys: Simon (14) and Clément (9), who have spent most of their school years in Montessori environments. Watching them grow through this approach has been one of the most powerful confirmations of its depth and beauty.
Today, I’m the co-founder of Montessori Farm Bali. I bring my entrepreneurial background into this project so that adolescents can learn by doing, building real skills, taking initiative, and becoming active participants in their own lives.
Like Maria Montessori, I believe that education is the most powerful tool for building peace, within ourselves, and in the world.
Being a Montessori Guide isn’t just what I do.
It’s who I am."
At Montessori Farm Bali, we’re proud to introduce Jarin, a passionate and deeply thoughtful educator who joins our team as an AMI-certified Montessori Guide for adolescents (ages 12–18).
Her path, rooted in cultural richness, personal exploration, and a profound respect for young people, embodies the spirit of what we aim to cultivate here: a learning environment grounded in purpose, connection, and transformation.
Below, we invite you to discover her full story.
" I was born and raised in the United States, shaped by the uniqueness of two cultures: my father’s Pakistani heritage and my mother’s Western European roots.
A lifelong learner by nature, I bring curiosity, warmth, and playfulness to all that I do, grounded in patience and presence. I value organization, consistency, and clear communication, and strive to live in alignment with holistic wellness.
My background as a trained yoga teacher, former dancer, and practitioner of sound healing and vibrational therapy informs my integrative approach to life and work.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations and a McCombs Business Foundations Certificate from The University of Texas at Austin. Following my undergraduate studies, I enrolled in a sustainable agriculture entrepreneurship program and worked on organic vegetable farms and a goat and sheep dairy in Central Texas.
This work led me to a farm-based junior high school, Austin Montessori School Adolescent Center for Work and Study at Gaines Creek, where I first encountered Montessori education and the profound depth, potential, and transformative capacity of adolescents.
That experience deeply influenced my path.
I soon after pursued my AMI (Association Montessori Internationale) 12-18 Diploma for Adolescent Studies in Sweden.
What draws me to Montessori philosophy is its deep respect for the individual and its commitment to nurturing authentic human potential. It offers adolescents the space to grow from within: fostering peace, confidence, and a strong sense of interconnectedness with the world around them and stewardship of the earth and its people.
Maria Montessori emphasizes that the core aim of the adolescent’s plan of study and work is the valorization of the personality, a process through which young people come to recognize their own worth by succeeding through their own effort and initiative. This is cultivated through purposeful, meaningful work carried out with increasing independence. The plan offers abundant opportunities for self-directed academic exploration, hands-on engagement with the land, navigating community living, and authentic interaction with the broader community. Through these experiences, adolescents develop a deep sense of interconnectedness, capability, and responsibility.
This foundational principle lies at the heart of Montessori Farm Bali.
I look forward to working side-by-side with your students, and honoring and exploring the heritage of this beautiful province. "
