The City of Elgin is currently accepting applications for the following full-time position:

*City Maintenance

High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license required. Successful candidate will need to live within a reasonable distance from city limits. Applicant shall have, or be willing to obtain, a Grade IV Water Operator’s license and Grade I Wastewater Operator’s license. Job responsibilities will be across all departments – streets, water, sewer, park, pool. Work duties will be labor intensive which can include, but not limited to, testing; repair and maintenance of the municipal streets, water and sewer systems; heavy equipment operator; snow removal; general labor; upkeep of city owned properties and equipment. Drug test required. Salary based on qualifications and experience. Position open until filled. EOE.
