for me win7 drivers not working in win10. it says it can't find any drivers in folder. i can only use software and make it work using compatibility option, but it's still not working properly. adapter is turning on and off while connecting on my home wifi and it says it cannot connect.

I can't get the wireless utility to run under 10.14 either. Just installed the new driver and the utility won't open up with the internal Wi-Fi on or off. It worked great before I upgraded. I hope there's a fix for this coming as I'm on a boat in the Bahamas and really need the boost!

I am having the same problem as Inon. The adapter worked well after upgrading from win 7 to win 10. However when trying to initially install it on a new win 10 computer the driver update fails every time. AND, I have followed every step exactly MANY times and it still fails.

You can use the ALFA Wireless LAN Utility, you have to install the driver (last is 11G_Win7 AWUS036H Driver Win7 32-64bit 20160114) with win7 compatibily mode (right click on setup.exe, troubleshoot, etc)

I have read that the antenna is supported out-of-the-box by kali, and that it should be detected without further action. Though it looks like it is not on my system, because the antenna is not detected by the system in any way. (I did not install any driver).

Edit 2: downloaded drivers from official website but they do not provide any instruction for compilation, and running make as described in the provided readme does not work. Also tried unsuccessfully installing -ng/rtl8812au with an error described in issue #774

I'm confused to choose between AWUS036H and AWUS036NHA

I found out that a lot of review say that ALFA AWUS036H work out of the box while AWUS036NHA is atheros. I don't know how to decide between the two.Please guide me as well

Now using these cards on Windows won't get you packet injection or monitoring mode due to the drivers, but if you are going to be using them for wireless pen-testing on a LInux distro besides Backtrack you can use the Compat Wireless drivers which works well under any Linux distro.

Also the adapter seems to have a mind of its own. Even though I set the regulator domain (iw reg set BO) to Bolivia, and the txpower to 30, it seems to jump regions (hence power levels) almost at will depending on what I'm doing. It also has a tendency to get stuck on channel 11. I've always heard that the AWUS036H is supposed to work great out-of-the-box with BT5r3. What do you think. Is it a driver problem? Any ideas? Btw, the adapter works fine in both WinXP and Win7 with the correct drivers installed.
