You've reached the Memorial Site for Sgt. David Solinas Jr., and the home of the Sgt. David Solinas Jr. Memorial Fund which was created to honor him and to continue his dedication to service.
The memorial fund is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, with two main goals:
* Four annual River Dell High School scholarships
* The David's House project, which will provide families a place to stay and to gather as they lay their loved one to rest at Arlington National Cemetery
We couldn't have established the memorial fund without the incredible generosity of those who've supported us.

Sgt. David Solinas, Jr., of Oradell, was called home mid-flight on an Army medevac training mission in Kentucky on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at the age of 23. 8 other brave souls perished in that accident.
David was the second oldest of four boys, who all shared a very strong and unique bond. They spent their younger days playing in dirt, fishing, kayacking and enjoying many family adventures. Catching frogs and snakes, making s’mores and star gazing filled most of their summers. Home was loud with laughter, and sounds of dinosaurs, FIFA and eventually COD. Their relationships developed in many different ways, but their bonds grew stronger through Saint Joseph and ASCPG youth groups, scouting trips, soccer and wrestling. These memories are blessings, frozen and unblemished in time.
From a young age, David always brought smiles and laughter to whatever space he was in. Whether it be scouting, soccer, wrestling, or church; David always brought nothing but pure drive and commitment to everything he did, including his career in the United States Army. David was deeply committed to a life of service to his community and his country, affording him opportunities to pursue a lifestyle that most could only dream of. In his short 23 years, David accomplished what most dream of; exploring the land through extensive travel, the air through his time in the Army, and the sea with his SCUBA license. David was currently finishing up his degree and planned on attending nursing school.
David began his Army career as a Combat Medic (68W) in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, in the 1-325 AIR ("Red Falcons"), 2nd BCT. He proceeded to earn his Paramedic certification, and then to become a Critical Care Flight Paramedic (68WF2). This led him to join the 101st Airborne Division at Ft. Campbell, in the C-Company, 101st Aviation Regiment ("Eagle Dustoff"). David absolutely loved his job, and got to work with many incredible Soldiers.
On April 16th, 2023, David returned home to Oradell for the last time. We were completely overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and sympathy. We will never forget the amazing crowd of people who came out to bid David farewell.
David was buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia with full honors.
