For this project, I have to gather samples of different types of media from Creative Commons and accordingly credit the authors behind them.
I found this image by scrolling through the creative common's homepage on their website.
I have downloaded and cropped the image into a smaller version to fit and uploaded it to my website. This image is shared under the CC0 1.0 Universal deed license, which means anyone can:
Copy, modify, distribute and perform the work even for commercial purposes, all without asking for permission
Below if the official credit to the creator and the licensing with the correct links.
"Regent Street Looking Towards the Duke of York's Column, plate twelve from Original Views of London as It Is" by Thomas Shotter Boys is licensed under Deed - CC0 1.0 Universal
This is a sample audio file called "Faruqi". I have selected this because it talks about religious topic like Nature and God
I downloaded this audio file from its URL link as an mps then downloaded it onto my OneDrive so I could insert it in my website
This piece of media is shared under the CC BY 4.0 license, which means that everyone is free to:
Share - copy, distribute and transmit the work
Remix - adapt, transform and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially
In order to do these, you must oblige to the following terms
Attribution - You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses you or your use
Below is the official credit to the creator with all the appropriate links.
"File:Faruqi-audio-sample.ogg" by DrunkenJoe is licensed under Deed - Attribution 4.0 International
This is a sample of an animated GIF that I came across when scrolling DeviantArt.
An animated GIF is a frame-by-frame movement that is created by drawing a character or an action happening over the duration of individual frames to create a fluid sense of motion
This GIF was saved from DeviantArt and then it was uploaded into my website.
While searching, I was unable to find any information about a license or if there are any sharing limitations for this animation, so to be ethical, I will credit the link and the author and the source of this animation while following the TASL Rule of thumb which as well stand for Title, Author, Source, and License.

This is an embedded video sample. This video is about Media Literacy and what it is along with the general definition of media, and the spread of information and if its trustworthy.
I have embedded this video from YouTube, which offered an embed code to put it onto my website, and after searching their webpage, I was unable to find limitations or a license policy or usage.
So to remain ethical towards the authors, I will credit them and the source of the video following the TASL rule of thumb

While doing this project I have learned about every different media type and how to cite the author and look into and learn about different licenses that people use on their work. I also learned about creative commons and how to credit different media I find and insert or use on a website or an article.
