“A school needs to be a place for all children, not based on the idea that they’re all the same, but that they’re all different.”
– Loris Malaguzzi, founder of Reggio Emilia.
Since 2013, we have always celebrated every child . We have provided a place where everyone is encouraged to explore their environment and express themselves through many "languages," or modes of expression, including words, movement, drawing, painting, puppets, collage, and music. By setting up various creative opportunities for play, we believe that the children in our care have fundamentally developed their physical, cognitive and socio-emotional areas.
The pandemic brought about a huge impact in our world. Our positive spin on it is that most have embraced the beauty of the outdoors. People learned to value the safety, and calming effect of being one with nature. In the same way, we were able to strengthen and place more value on our communities.
Imagine Nation Encino's learning approach is centered on the concept of a child armed with hundred languages, where the learning method of each child is encouraged and respected. Our goal is to make learning fun and not restricted, thus having a community where creativity and imagination thrive.
