A psycho-diagnostic evaluation allows a psychologist to understand the nature of the problem by integrating psychological test results and information collected during the diagnostic interviews.
A diagnostic assessment typically requires 2-4 hours of face-to-face sessions to complete diagnostic interviewing, testing, and/or observation. Everyone is different in their abilities and complexities; sometimes more sessions are needed.
Several other hours may be spent on scoring and interpretation of tests, record review, and report writing. A written report is usually completed within four to six weeks. Every evaluation concludes with a feedback session explaining the results and providing a copy of the report.
