As a result of COVID-19, many African American Museums have been closed or operating on a limited schedule. This effects their financial status which adversely effects their survival. Many of these museums are owned and operated by African Americans who hire people in the community. The Black Onyx Guide for Museums would like everyone to do what they can to keep these museums open. If not for these museums, who will tell the history of African Americans for generations to come and provide programs that are geared towards African Americans.
