Failure to follow these rules and guidelines may result in ejection from the field
In order for everyone to have a good experience, everyone is expected to utilize the honor system when interacting with staff or other participants and maintaining respectful sportsmanship is nonnegotiable. There is a strict no harassment policy and any potential violations to this policy will be investigated by staff.
SAFETY:
All BB's must be biodegradable plastic and metal BB's are not allowed.
When on site and not on the field, magazines must be removed from replicas. If magazines are difficult to remove from a replica, than remove or unplug the power source.
Pistols are able to keep their magazines loaded when a trigger blocking holster is equipped. If a trigger blocking holster is not equipped, magazines will need to be removed from the pistol replica.
Closed toe shoes are required on and off the field. While the parking lot will not have the same dangers as being on the field, closed toed shoes are enforced though they do not need to be the same type of shoe used while playing on the field.
Long sleeve shirts and long pants are encouraged to protect players from thorn bushes or other dangers on the field.
Eye protection must be worn while in the play area and around chronographing at all times.
Eye protection must be ANSI Z87.1 rated and must be full seal.
If goggles are ever taken off or lost on the field, players are expected to yell out "BLIND MAN" and gameplay will immediately halt while staff conducts an investigation. During this investigation, players must place their replicas on safe mode and stop where they are. Once everyone on the field is wearing their proper eye protection, a staff member will call "GAME ON" and the game will resume.
Should an accident occur on the field that requires medical or staff attention, "REAL WORLD" can be called. Like "BLIND MAN", gameplay will immediately halt while staff conducts an investigation. During this investigation, players must place their replicas on safe mode and stop where they are. Once the investigation is complete and the issue is resolved, a staff member will call "GAME ON" and the game will resume.
A hard lower or full face mask is required. Engagements may be shorter than at other locations so face coverage is enforced.
Magazines are to be removed and replica chambers need to be cleared before exiting the field. This can be done by first removing your magazine and dry firing your replica on to the field in a safe direction. If you are unable to remove your magazine, a barrel blocking device must be used.
Absolutely no blind fire. Players must be looking down their gun while shooting rather than shooting around or over objects "blindly".
Test firing is allowed prior to a game but must be conducted on the field and in appropriate gear.
CHRONOGRAPHING AND REPLICA LIMITS:
All airsoft replicas will be chronographed using joules. This allows staff to accurately gauge on how powerful a replica is shooting. A staff member will need to be present for chronographing. Appropriate gear is required.
All replicas under 1 joule (328 FPS with a .20 Gram BB):
No minimum engagement distance (MED)
All "rifle" replicas between 1 and 1.14 joules (350 FPS with a .20 Gram BB):
10 foot minimum engagement distance (MED)
When a replica shoots over 1 joule, players are subject to a 10 foot MED. If enemy players fall within that distance, the engaging player must either back up to engage them at 10 or more feet or draw a secondary replica that shoots under 1 joule to engage the enemy player.
REPLICA FIRE MODES AND RATES:
Fire mode (semi automatic or full automatic with an option for burst) will be announced before each game mode. If the fire mode is not announced prior to a game, semi automatic fire is assumed. If there in uncertainty with what fire mode is being used, semi automatic is the safest option to use as it will be allowed in all game modes.
All replicas are required to shoot at or under 15 rounds per second (RPS). If a replica is shooting more than 15 RPS, you are required to play in semi auto.
No blade triggers or rapid trigger style devices are to be used to artificially manipulate the rate of fire you are able to accomplish in semi auto.
HITS:
Call ONLY your hits! Do not yell for others to call hits. Consult with the staff if a player is suspected of poor hit calling. When in doubt call your hit and return to spawn.
If you are hit, you are only allowed to yell "HIT" or "MEDIC" (during medic modes). Communicating the enemy position is strictly forbidden if you have been hit.
Hits include anything connected to you. If a BB connects, it's a hit even if it lightly brushes your hair or a piece of brush you've attached to yourself.
Ricochets DO NOT count as hits. Shots must be a direct hit to count. Direct hits still may include lose clothing hair or materials connected to you're person
Gun hits count as hits. If your replica is hit by a BB, you must either transition to sidearm or return to the respawn. Only one extra BB shooting replica counts toward this rule.
Melee is done with a rubber or foam knife. A gentle tap is sufficient to get players to be hit. If you are melee hit, silently return to your spawn or wait in place for a medic if the mode calls for it.
GRENADES:
Grenades have range with a radius of 8 feet or 16 feet in diameter. If you are within that area when a grenade goes off, you are considered hit. If you are within 2 arm spans of the grenades detonation location, you more than likely hit. If a BB shower, Tornado grenade, or Spring grenade is used, you must be hit by a BB to be considered hit.
A player can avoid being hit within the grenade's range by taking cover. Taking cover can be done by ducking behind an object that allows a player to obstruct the view of the grenade. If you are behind suitable cover at the time of detonation, you are not considered out. If you are still above a waist high barrier at the time of detonation, you are still considered out.
Suitable cover can include:
Stumps
Trees
Manmade barricades
Suitable cover does not include:
Thin brush
Twigs, brambles
Trees smaller than the width of a person.
Due to the nature of the field, there are some restrictions about what types of grenades or pyrotechnics may be allowed. TAGinn launching projectiles and hot burning grenades are not allowed.
Grenades that are season dependent are:
Pyro/Pea Grenades
Smoke emitting Grenades
Grenades that are always allowed are:
Gas-powered BB launching grenades (such as Thunder B's Tornado/Cyclones or similar products)
Spring-powered BB launching grenades
Shower shells and BB spewing style "master" shells can be used in grenade launcher replicas (launcher device is required to use grenade launcher shells)
Foam "Nerf Rocket/Nerf Ball" are classified as grenades when launched from a launcher device
OTHER GEAR:
Riot shields can be worn on your person as part of clothing accessories but will not block BB hits when worn this way. In order to block BBs, riot shields must be real steel weight (27 lbs). Riot shields are allowed to be made of any material so long as the weight is correct (i.e. a wooden shield with weights attached). If there are questions regarding riot shields, a staff member will be able to assist.
Melee weapons are allowed and must be made from foam or rubber. ABSOLUTELY NO REAL OR METAL KNIVES ARE TOLERATED.
While Foam "Nerf Rocket/Nerf Ball" are classified as grenades, these projectiles have a 10 foot diameter kill radius from their point of impact. Once launched, the user must wait till the next round in order to use the same round again. All normal cover taking mechanics apply however, the point of impact can be off the ground (i.e. if the projectile hits a tree trunk above the enemy).
