CP is not a new concept and has been widely known in Massachusetts as Municipal Aggregation.
What if I do not want to participate in Community Electric Power?
CP is a completely optional program and ratepayers can opt out at any time.
Will I know my rate options before I participate in Community Electric Power?
Ratepayers will see negotiated rate costs before they decide if they want to participate.
Where will my electricity bill come from?
Electric bills will continue to arrive from NHEC.
Who do I call if there is a storm and my electricity goes out?
You will still call NHEC for service.

Does Community Electric Power impact our relationship with the New Hampshire Electric Cooperative?
Community Power does not change Waterville Valley's long-standing relationship with NHEC. In a Community Power scenario, NHEC would continue to maintain the poles and wires that bring our community electricity.
Is Community Power the right choice for me if I am a net metering customer?

Can small business owners participate in Community Electric Power?
Yes, but they will not automatically be enrolled if they are already receiving competitive electric supply. They will receive the same rate as the residential ratepayers.
