The West Virginia Highland Dancers welcomes new students and performance opportunities year-round. Whether you’re discovering Highland dance for the first time or continuing your journey toward competition or teaching, the WVHD offers a supportive, inspiring environment for all ages and levels. Enrollment is open year-round for new and returning dancers. To register, simply email us for current class details. New dancers may join at any time, and beginners are welcome. No prior dance experience is required!
What to Expect
Classes are small and emphasize technique, confidence, and teamwork.
Dancers perform at local festivals, nursing homes, and community events.
There are numerous opportunities to compete, travel, and participate in workshops.

Tuition
Tuition is billed per three-month session. WVHD strives to keep classes affordable so that all interested dancers can participate.
Attire & Supplies
For class, dancers wear shorts, tee or tank, kneesocks, and ghillies. We have a box of second-hand ghillies for beginning dancers. New ghillies can be ordered online. Hair should be neatly secured off the face. Performance/competition costumes are ordered or loaned out once dancers are ready to perform and compete.
