Coach Holbrook has been a mainstay of West Virginia High School Baseball serving as head coach for 36 years at three different High Schools. He began in 1967 as coach of "old" Huntington High where he recorded a record of 335-154 for a winning percentage of .683. He moved to Huntington East for the 1989 season and amassed a record of 167-58 (742%). In 1997 he assumed the position of head coach at the new consolidated Huntington Bligh. Prior to his induction year of 3008, Toby's record was 236-136 (680%) with an outstanding cumulative record of 738 wins and only 348 losses for a combined winning percentage of .670. One of his most memorable highlights was winning the AAA state championship during the 1976 school year. He has mentored thirty-eight (38) first or second team all state selections. "Coach" has been a continuous member of the West Virginia Baseball Coaches Association through its inception. Due to Coach Holbrook's dedication towards student/athletes, baseball in West Virginia is second to none.
