Wustholz Lab
Fluorescence & Surface-Enhanced Raman Studies at William & Mary
We harness spectroscopy to  study organic dyes for applications ranging from biology to art conservation
Dr. Kristin Wustholz
Kristin is a spectroscopist - a physical chemist focusing on the interaction of light and molecules to produce different types of emission. She obtained a B.A.S. in Chemistry and Philosophy from Muhlenberg College and a Ph.D. from the University of Washington. After a postdoctoral fellowship at Northwestern University with Richard Van Duyne, she joined the William & Mary faculty in 2010. Students in the Wustholz lab use laser spectroscopy to study a variety of problems including solar energy conversion, biological imaging, and art conservation.
