Chipper Days and Sprinkler Giveaway 2026:

• Chipper Days: AFD has received grants to support some free curbside chipping days across the MOA during the summer of 2026.  AFD is organizing the effort, and plans to establish an online signup. Look for updates on their website at wildfire.muni.org.

• Sprinkler Giveaway: Another grant AFD received supports providing homeowners in the WUI with the larger tripod-style sprinklers that wildfire crews use to protect properties ahead of a wildfire.  AFD is strongly recommending those who are interested participate in the Firewise assessment and signup for Smart911 notifications. There will be limited quantities.
