Who Were They?

The Wu Tang Clan members included RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck,U-God and Masta Killa. Until the death of Ol dirty Bastard in the year 2004, A close affiliate known as Cappadonna later joined and became an official member.  

In 1993, the hip-hop group released an independent single known as "Protect ya neck" that helped elevate the group to a sizeable underground following.

Although there were difficulties in finding a record label that would sign the Wu Tang Clan while each member was allowed to record solo albums with other labels, Loud/RCA agreed to sign the group which led to the release of their debut album Enter the Wu Tang (36 Chambers) in 1993.
