TWP Lax Families
Our Early Registration period was a huge success! We already have 140 (as of 11/24/25) players ready to play and are thrilled to report that we are guaranteed at least one team at all age groups for Boys & Girls. This communication is essential and has valuable information our Board needs to convey and receive for planning. There will be multiple links and resources to assist in preparing for this season. We are also placing all of this on our website under "What to Expect in 2026".
With many returning families still planning to register, we are likely going to need 2 teams in many of the divisions. We will be providing indoor Practices & Evaluations @ Total Turf thanks to donations from our sponsors. This is a significant cost to our program, but we find the time ahead of our regular season incredibly valuable. These will take place on Thursdays between 5-8 pm beginning January 15th and ending March 5th. These sessions will be communicated in advance via your Teamsnap Pages. We encourage your child to attend as games begin mid-March.
More teams = more coaches. We recognize that not every mom or dad has played lacrosse. However, we know you are out there! We have the most need in supporting our girls. We love our dad coaches, but connecting with women in leadership roles is our goal in providing our girls' teams with knowledgeable moms, grandmoms, aunts, or volunteers who know the game. We also need assistant coaches. If you do not have lacrosse experience, but have coached soccer, basketball, and other sports, we can use a helping hand with running drills and keeping kids organized. All coaches will need US Lacrosse memberships, and we will reimburse you when completed. You will also get coaching swag! Who can say no to that! COACHING INTEREST SIGN UP
More new players = new practice schedules to accommodate more teams. We want to be as transparent as possible to prevent surprises and encourage as many kids as possible to give lacrosse a try. We know many play multiple sports, and below is an example of what practices looked like last year. While we cannot guarantee this will stay the same, it gives families an idea of what to expect. We are hoping to gain full access to a field at the park (Field 2) for the Girls to utilize 7 days a week for practices and games. Fridays may open up an extra day of flexibility for practice times.
Scoopers is run with boys and girls together in a clinic format. Only a stick, cleats, and a mouthpiece are needed. We have 40 sticks, thanks to a US Lacrosse Grant, to provide for this age group if needed. We run practices on various days throughout the week during March, April, and May, and have it modeled as "Come when you Can." No games.

We are proud to announce that CC Miller Construction Corp will be sponsoring our Boys' Practice Uniforms, and Walsh's Remodeling will be sponsoring our Girls' Practice Uniforms. We are still in need of a sponsor for our Scoopers Uniforms, as we provide them at no cost to our youngest players. Any company donating $750 or more will gain ad placement on our shooting shirts, web banner, and social media posts. We can also use sponsors to help with non-financial needs. Can you build, paint, or provide landscaping improvements? Please consider your business as a sponsor! Families can also privately donate to assist in providing opportunities for our players, such as hiring specialty coaches and gaining more turf time. Donation Flyer
Want to play now? Check out the Sixes Winter League at Total Turf. We encourage players to sign up as free agents or to coordinate a group of players with a coach to register. Each team needs at least 7-8 players and a goalie. To help gauge interest, please fill out this INTEREST FORM, and we will try to coordinate TWP teams.
