World Book Day 2020
What is a World Book Day?
April 23 is the World Book Day. It is a day to promote reading and respect on intellectual property. Intellectual property refers to a wide range of items created by someone such as a piece of writing, a piece of song etc. Protect intellectual property is to protect the efforts paid by someone. We should not use their work as ours without acknowledging them or without paying for the copyright. This is a very important concept especially when doing projects or our assignments. More information will be disclosed on this topic later.
To celebrate this day, there are three activities for you:
1. Read different kinds of books / magazines or newspapers.

2. Story Writing Competition
Everyone can be a writer so i would like you to join the story writing competition by using the Story jumper. Please check out the following video and create your own story through StoryJumper. You can make your own digital story book with your own design and even voice recording. Both Chinese or English stories are welcome. Apart from creating stories, you can create non-fiction books. For instance, if you like planets, you may share your knowledge on planets in your digital books. Prizes will be given to the outstanding stories after the school resumes. Please bear in mind that all stories should be original in order to respect the copyright of other writers.
Deadline of Submission: 15th May, 2020

3. Find the lost books
Please take some time tidy up your home ( bookshelves / wardrobe/ cupboard/ bed/ sofa ......)and keep the library books properly ( hopefully you can find the lost one). Please return it after the school resumes. Thank you very much.
