General Info

Small groups function in seasons (Fall, Spring, Summer). Each season will bring a new way to engage! All groups, Church at Study and Thrive Groups, will use the same method of discipleship at the same time. We will all do Deep Dives one season, utilize the YOU curriculum during another, and have Group Choice during some seasons.

Will you commit to consistently gathering together while growing together in Christ and Community?

  • You do not have to be a WTC member to join

  • Some gather weekly and others bi-weekly

  • We encourage consistent attendance

  • Designed for engagement and building relationships during and between gatherings

  • Group members become mentors, friends, and like a second family. You "share life" together.

  • Groups may be determined by age, gender, marital status, or other demographics

Some small groups are gathering in person and others are offered via Zoom! Please download Zoom and create an account in order to participate. Thrive Groups will gather within the healthy dynamics of physical distancing once it is safe for everyone to gather together physically.

Deep Dives are an opportunity for people to take a deeper look into what is being taught on Sundays and Tuesdays during service and Bible study. You can engage with others in your group to get a better understanding of what was taught.

  • Make sure you pay attention to Teachings

  • Take notes...

      • Write down any things that peak your interest.

      • Write things you want to get more perspectives on.

      • Write things about which you may need more clarity and understanding.

  • Gather with your group and dive into the content of the passage of scripture, the teaching that was given, and the perspectives of your group members.

  • Relevance: questions and discussion topics reflect lifestyle and experiences

  • Relatable language: cultural vernacular is occasionally employed to strengthen the application of God’s Word

  • Biblical trustworthiness: frames the church through a biblical lens.

  • Bible Study is available in both print and digital formats.

Your small group may want to do a book study, focus on an area of affinity, study through a book of the Bible, or have some other focus for the group. The key is that the small group engages with discipleship and fellowship.

  • Topical and Book Studies

  • Each small group facilitator will help the group navigate the group choice option

  • All book studies will be approved before groups start them
