On this website, teachers of English Learners find resources to support English from home.
We've arranged resources by grade level, but please check out other grade levels than your own. We think some of our options are easily adapted to other grade levels based on how you embed them into your own lessons.

Many of us are working under stressful situations with children of our own at home to educate and care for. You don't have to be a yoga zen master to prioritize your mental health. Please take time for your own self-care to preserve your mental health. Here are some suggestions:
1. Breathe- Take a few minutes to oxygenate. Take deep breaths in with your mouth and slowly release through your nose. Stress can impact the way you breathe.
2, Take a Time Out- Have a cup of tea, a hot bath, go sit on the porch or whatever you need to disengage from the news, media, and work.
3. Talk it Out- Phone a friend, Skype a neighbor, check in on your grandmother, but maintain your relationships.
4. Affirm- You can do this! This is temporary! Monitor your self-talk and be intentional about thinking and speaking phrases that build you and your mental health up.
5. Draw Some Lines in the Sand- If worry is starting to get to you, set limits on how long you will engage. Pay attention to negative conversations, how much news you watch, etc. that input negative thoughts and may discourage you.
This is a difficult time for everyone, so take care of yourself and your family.
