The Women’s and Gender Studies Association of the Philippines (WSAP) is a professional association of individuals and institutions promoting women’s and gender studies. It was established in 1987 as the Women’s Studies Consortium, involved practitioners and advocates of women's and gender studies from seven Metro Manila colleges and universities namely: University of the Philippines, Miriam College, Ateneo de Manila University, De La Salle University, St. Scholastica's College, Philippine Normal University, and Philippine Women's University. The network was recognized on a national level with its official registration as the Women’s Studies Association of the Philippines in 1992. In 2016, it was officially introduced as the Women’s and Gender Studies Association of the Philippines.
WSAP aims to introduce and strengthen women’s and gender studies in Philippine education, generate knowledge and expertise on the promotion of gender equality and women empowerment, conduct training and develop curriculum and instructional resources, and create a network of Philippine scholars in women’s and gender studies, both locally and globally.
The main office of the organization is based at the University of the Philippines Center for Women’s and Gender Studies (UPCWGS) within the University of the Philippines Diliman campus in Quezon City. Its officers and members, both previous and current, are updated and reached out through its official Facebook page and website.
WSAP is a member of the Philippine Social Sciences Council (PSSC).
