ORIGINS
Eleonora is yet another character from Blood Vapor, a story about monster hunters on a quest. She's a scientist who I'd been trying to figure out how to work into the story for a while. Originally, she was just a human girl who was a librarian.
CHARACTER BACKSTORY
Eleonora grew up in a neglectful household, usually being left to fend for herself. She quickly took up independence. Her family moved around a few times, eventually moving to Marivella. She came to Marivella High School in her sophomore year, and she made friends there, including Delia. All seemed well until she was arrested for treason going into her senior year. She'd been looking towards some... international sources for her supernatural research. She'd been obsessed with supernatural creatures (despite being one herself) since she was young, and her ambition had come back to bite her. She was eventually released because they felt she'd been wrongfully imprisoned and was pardoned. Since then, she's been a lot more careful (but not any less ambitious) in her research.
PERSONALITY/CHARACTER
Eleonora is a sweet girl, even though she does count as an ex-felon. She's not as trusting as she was in the past, but she tries to keep up the benefit of the doubt for others. She likes hanging out with people but prefers being alone because she can think clearer.
She loves her work. As a scientist, she has her official, professional science work, but also has her supernatural studies, which she works to keep organized and separate from each other. She's incredibly meticulous about her personal lab which has a bookshelf hidden door. She's very particular about what comes in and only lets a few people inside.
Thanks to her siren heritage, she has a somewhat threatening energy to some, especially men. She can't help it. It's a large part of the reason why she has few friends and why she doesn't love being around strangers.
Her girlfriend, Motor, is one of the few people she's truly grown to trust. She still can't believe that someone like Motor could be into her, let alone in love with her. The two bond over their similar childhoods.
