We’ve all been there: you need to send a quick document, a location pin, or a message to a delivery driver or client, but you do not want to clutter your phone's address book with temporary contacts.
Fortunately, you don't have to. Here is the complete guide on how to send a direct WhatsApp message to an unsaved phone number directly from your PC or smartphone.
WhatsApp has a built-in "Click to Chat" feature that works perfectly on both your phone and your PC browser without requiring any downloads.
Open your browser: Launch Chrome, Edge, Safari, or your preferred web browser.
Type the "wa.me" link: In the address bar, type https://wa.me/ followed by the full phone number in international format. (Do not include any zeroes, brackets, or dashes).
Example for a US number: https://wa.me/15551234567
Press Enter: You will be routed to a secure WhatsApp page with a "Continue to Chat" button.
Start Messaging: If you are on a PC, select "Use WhatsApp Web." If you are on a mobile device, it will automatically open your WhatsApp app directly to that new chat!
If you frequently message unsaved numbers from your computer and want a dedicated desktop launcher, you can use the WDM (WhatsApp Direct Message) program. This script automates the browser process for you.
Step 1: Open Your Default Browser and type or copy this link " https://web.whatsapp.com/ " to your default browser and press Enter key on your Computer keyboard.
Step 2: Open WhatsApp on your phone and click on the three vertical dots on the top right corner of WhatsApp and then click on Linked Devices next click on Link a Device and then use your phone to scan the QR code shown on the desktop/ PC screen.
Step 3: Download "WDM" which stands for "WhatsApp Direct Message"
Step 4: Set any Browser as your default browser
Type in the search "control panel" and press the "enter key"
Once it opens click on "programs" then click on "default program" and then click on "set your default programs".
Scroll down and click on "web browser" and choose the browser that you want to set as the default browser.
Step 5: Run the program (WDM) by right-clicking it and then click on run as administrator then type the phone number whom you want to message and it will open the Google Chrome web browser.
Step 6: Click on "Continue to chat" then click on "Use WhatsApp Web" It should now load the new phone number and you should be able to chat with that particular unsaved phone number.
