From the time Kristan could walk, she has been involved in hog production. Today, our farm operates a farrow-to-finish hog operation with 20 sows. All of our sows are heritage-bred for superior marbling, flavor, and overall meat quality. We raise all of our own grain and mix our own feed, allowing us full control over what goes into our animals. Our hogs are Certified Humane, raised with no antibiotics or added hormones, and live in spacious, deep-bedded pens that promote comfort and natural behaviors. Customers may purchase live hogs directly from our farm or choose processing through one of three trusted local butcher shops we deliver to.
Call Daniel at 502-758-1885 or email us at wright.farms@aol.com
We will deliver your hog to your preferred butcher. The customer is responsible for pickup from the butcher and will pay the butcher directly for processing. Once we receive the live weight of the hog, we will invoice the customer through QuickBooks. Payment can be submitted securely through QuickBooks, or a check may be mailed to us.

In addition to our own hog operation, we also wean to finish hogs for Niman Ranch, whose products are sold through Whole Foods Market. This partnership is a natural fit for our farm, as we already follow the same high standards and production model as Niman Ranch.
Niman Ranch’s animal welfare standards require that hogs are able to exhibit natural behaviors such as rooting and roaming, and strictly prohibit the use of crates, cages, tail docking, and teeth clipping. All participating farms, ranches, and processing facilities are independently audited by Humane Farm Animal Care (HFAC). Their protocols were developed in collaboration with renowned animal welfare expert Dr. Temple Grandin to ensure the highest level of care.
Beyond animal welfare, Niman Ranch is committed to sustainable, traditional farming practices that support both the land and the animals. To learn more about Niman Ranch, click here.
