A huge thank you to our local Bunnings Store at West Footscray who donated two boxes of worms for our Subpod. Our Sustainability Captains wrote a letter to reach out to them, and they were so happy to help our community.

We celebrated waste-free July by having a single-use-plastics-free lunch day. You can see our results before and after. We are so proud of our school community! We hope we can make this a regular event at Wembley.

Term 2, 2023
Our subpod has arrived! Thank you to everyone in our community who signed our petition to get our school an amazing subpod, with a special mention to Adriana and the Wembley Waste Warriors. This in-ground composting system will help drive our reduction in food waste at school.
We will begin organising food waste collection in the BER. Stay tuned!
Term 2, 2023
Thank you to everyone who collected bread bags for our recycling program over Term Two. We have now sent in our collection for recycling.
We hope to participate again in the future!
