Who We Are

Pathfinders is a Christ-centered youth program of the Seventh-day Adventist Church designed to help young people grow in faith, character, leadership, and life skills. If you’ve never heard of Pathfinders before, think of it as a wholesome mix of outdoor adventure + hands-on learning + service + strong mentorship—all rooted in Christian values.

We welcome youth from our church and the community, and we’re committed to creating a safe, encouraging environment where every child can belong and thrive.

Our mission

• Our mission is to help young people develop a strong relationship with God, build confidence and responsibility, and learn practical skills that prepare them for life—while serving others with kindness and purpose.

What we do

Pathfinders is active, structured, and fun. Throughout the year, members participate in:

• Hands-on skill “Honors” (first aid, cooking, nature, crafts, STEM-style skills, and more)
  
  

• Camping and outdoor experiences (with safety planning and supervision)
  
  

• Leadership development (teamwork, communication, responsibility, goal-setting)
  
  

• Community service projects (helping others through meaningful outreach)
  
  

• Team building & special events (camporees, field trips, drill/marching, club challenges)
  
  

Every activity is designed to build character, confidence, and connection.

Why it matters

• Discipline → Confidence: Consistent practice builds focus, emotional self-control, and pride in earned achievement.

• Teamwork → Belonging: Students learn to listen, lead, and lift one another—no one marches alone.

• Service → Purpose: We perform to bless others. Students see their talents making a real difference.

• Faith → Resilience: Christ-centered mentorship gives our youth a moral compass and hope through challenges.

Who Can Join?

Pathfinders typically serves youth in middle and high school age ranges (often grades 5–12, depending on local conference guidelines). We also encourage teen leadership through programs like Teen Leadership Training (TLT).

What Pathfinders Help Youth Build

Pathfinders supports the whole child—spiritually, socially, and practically:

• Faith & values (Bible-based learning and real-life application)

• Confidence & discipline (healthy structure, follow-through, accountability)

• Friendship & belonging (positive peer community)

• Life skills (problem-solving, preparedness, responsibility)

• Leadership (serving, guiding, and growing with mentorship)

Safety & Supervision

Child safety is a top priority. Our club follows conference and church policies that include:

• Background-checked volunteers/staff

• Two-adult supervision practices

• Required medical/emergency forms for events

• Safety planning for outings and camps

We work closely with parents to ensure clear communication and proper preparation.

How to Join

Joining is easy:

1. Contact us (or complete our interest form)

2. Attend a club meeting to visit

3. Complete registration and required forms

4. Get your uniform, and you’re ready to go!

Get Involved

Pathfinders is strongest when families are connected. Parents can support by:

• Volunteering (as available)

• Helping with supplies or snacks for events

• Supporting fundraising and outreach

• Encouraging at-home progress on classwork/honors
