The WPA-GO Inclusion Advisory Initiatives develop professional materials for gWPAs and gTAs towards inclusive pedagogical and administrative practices that support WPA-GO's anti-racist mission. This committee includes three sub-committees (accessibility, diversity, and outreach), all of which work towards inclusive measures around working conditions, WPA practices, and access concerns.
Interested in serving on a committee? Fill out the Committee Interest Form at any time! We are always welcoming new members.
WPA-GO’s Accessibility Committee prioritizes access as an act of love. Inspired by and aspiring toward disability justice, this committee emphasizes community and collective access in our daily operations, group projects, and knowledge building activities. The Accessibility Committee works closely with other committees to advance accessible communication, center disability perspectives, and to promote inclusive spaces for WPA-GO members.
Most recently, the Accessibility Committee created a Discord page for graduate students to share experiences, contribute to our newsletter, obtain resources, and find support among peers. We would love to have you join us for future projects!
WPA-GO's Diversity Committee facilitates equal access to opportunities for professional development, networking, awards, and funding for all graduate students interested in WPA work.
WPA-GO's Outreach committee serves as a point of contact between WPA-GO and graduate students from a wide range of institutions, regardless of connections or funding.

Committee chairs will contact you as soon as possible.
Please note: During the summer, the LC is in transition as new members are elected and committee chair assignments are determined; therefore, committees are less active during that time, and requests to join a committee will likely receive a response in August. Requests during the academic year will be responded to on a rolling basis. Thank you for your patience!
