This workshop is targeting both people in academia and industry who do wizarding and who have done wizarding in the past. We seek people with different degrees of experience with wizarding, who have worked in a variety of environments, who have played a diverse range of `characters' and who have played in front of different kinds of audiences. In addition, we invite researchers within HRI, science and technology studies and technology/robot philosophy that have an interest in the ethical and philosophical challenges of the WoZ method but might not have first hand experience.Â
We encourage interested participants to submit a 400 to 500 word reflection on how the WoZ method has affected them in their work (research or otherwise) and/or ethical and philosophical challenges that comes with the method, along with an accompanying artifact (e.g. a photograph, poem, excerpt, or rough sketch) that illustrates how they have used the method or how they imagine using the method in the future. Reflections will be reviewed by the workshop organising committee.
