The main directions of Alex's work are graphics, illustration and 2D animation. Alex Novitski's early works from the 90s are made in traditional graphic technique - ink, pen. His black and white ornaments are complex and fanciful, the images are fanciful and grotesque. The contrast of the image is pedantically refined lines and very fine strokes, which give Alex Novitski's early paintings laconicism and severity. Alex Novitski gives predominance to mixed technique using ink and watercolor. Allegorical scenes and metaphors gain soft color, a hidden world of fantasy, emotions, experiences of the author. Alex Novitski's works are striking in the painter's approach to the overall composition and in the small details that resemble the thinnest intricate lace.
In April 2012, Alex Novitski's comic book "After School" took first place in the creative competition - Wizard World Comic Con, which took place in Toronto, Canada.
In 2002, Alex Novitski's interactive multimedia book "Fig - Tree" received a premium from the Russian Internet Academy (RAJE) in the nomination "Network Art".
Alex is also known to the Russian-speaking audience as an illustrator of the books "Enchanted Treasures", "Adventures of Elves and Gnomes" and others.
