In 2007, the Wortley Jazz & Blues Festival was founded and organized by two Wortley Village business owners, Rod Lorimer and Marty Verweel. In the spring of 2016, the organizers partnered with the Old South Community Organization (OSCO).
Each WVJBF features London and area's best jazz and blues musicians, including many who reside in Old South / Wortley Village!
WVJBF is funded annually through sponsorships from many Wortley Village businesses and by the London Musicians' Association through the Music Performance Trust Fund.
Although the COVID pandemic and the weather have forced the cancellation of a few events over the years, we are now celebrating our 13th event. Recent Festivals welcomed an estimated 3000-5000 people to Wortley Village!

Donations
Public donations are also collected at the festival. Without YOUR help, there may not be a “next year”! Please be generous.
Cash only. Find one of our volunteers or visit the Information Tent.
Our Community Partner
The Old South Community Organization (OSCO) has represented the common interests of Old South London since 1975. They are a non-profit, member-run volunteer organization dedicated to protecting and improving the quality of life in our community, and in our city. OSCO donates festival proceeds to many ongoing community programs in Old South and the greater London area.
Whenever possible, the Festival makes a donation to a local charity.
Local sponsors help to make our festival FREE for you to attend. Please "support local" and consider purchasing from these Wortley Village businesses!
Public cash donations are welcomed on the day of the Festival.
