Results from the qualifying round...

The Mac Maclaren Memorial Major League tournament will take place over two consecutive Wednesday evenings following the end of the league schedule. That is July 1st and July 8th.

The tournament will cost £15 to enter and will be handicap throughout. The format will be a three-game qualifying round on July 1st, with the top 16 bowlers qualifying for the finals week on July 8th. 

In the event of a tie for 16th position in the qualifying round then the highest handicap game will be used as a tie-breaker.

The finals will start at 7pm on July 8th with the following format:

• round of 16 : a single knock-out handicap game

• the quarter-finals : a single knock-out handicap game

• the semi-finals : a single knock-out handicap game

• the final : a single handicap game

A random draw will be made for each round.

In the event of a tied match then a single frame roll-off will be used to decide the winner.

Prize money will be £100 and the Mac Maclaren Memorial Major League Tournament trophy to the winner, £50 to the runner-up and £25 to each of the losing semi-finalists.

The end of league presentation will follow the tournament on July 8th.
