MAJOR LEAGUE TOURNAMENT

It's time to start thinking about the 2026 Mac Maclaren Memorial Major League tournament.

The tournament will be held immediately after the end of the league season. The format will be the same as in recent seasons. That is a handicap tournament consisting of a 3-game qualifying round on July 1, with the top 16 bowlers progressing to the finals evening on July 8.

The finals evening will be a single game knock-out with a FA Cup style random lane draw for each round.

Entry fee is £15 per bowler.

1st place : £100

Runner-up: £50

Losing semi-finalists : £25

The tournament is open to all Major League bowlers and substitutes.

If you wish to take part in the tournament, hopefully everyone will,  then please pay Mal the entry fee by the last week of the season on June 26.

Wiil Dan Davis retain the trophy? Will Will Line get knocked out at the semi-final stage for the third year in a row?

The end of league season meeting will take place after the tournament on July 8,
