2019 is the first year of the Tables, and forms a base-line for future years. For this year, the Table only contains a Progress Register.A total of 37 people participated this year, with many recording poly-bagging of multiple hills. The Register contains 114 entries for 2019.
Two types of poly-bagger emerge. The first type concentrate on one or two peaks, putting up as great a number of multiple ascents as their circumstances allow. The second type concentrate on rounds of peaks, which may involve a number of different peaks bagged on the same day.
The most popular poly-bagging peaks in 2019 were:
· Moel Fama554.8m, P278m (Wales, UK) – 3 entries
· Ben Cleuch725m, P595m (Scotland, UK) – 3 entries.
There were no peaks in the USA with over two entries, and none elsewhere in the world with over one entry. This reflects the esoteric nature of poly-bagging.
The most notable poly-bagger in the 2019 Table is Larry Davis, whose remarkable efforts on Mount Monadnock in New Hampshire, USA are legendary. For more information on Larry's achievements, see at: https://larrydavisnh.com/.
