World Monitor ("World Monitor", "we", "us", or "our") is a real-time global intelligence, news, maps, markets, and risk-monitoring app operated by AppMerge. This Privacy Policy explains what information is processed when you use the World Monitor iOS app, our backend services, and related web documentation.

## Summary
World Monitor is designed to show public intelligence signals, news, maps, live streams, market data, and premium analysis. The app does not require you to create a World Monitor account to use the core mobile experience.
We process limited app, device, subscription, permission, and usage information to operate the service, deliver live data, remember your preferences, manage Premium access, provide notifications if you enable them, and improve the app.
We do not collect your payment card details. App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Subscription entitlement and paywall infrastructure are supported by AppActor.
## Information We Process
### App and device information
When the app connects to World Monitor services, we may process technical information such as:
- App version, bundle identifier, platform, language, and general device environment
- Network request metadata, including IP address, timestamps, user agent, backend response status, cache status, and diagnostic logs
- App configuration values such as selected content language, selected World Monitor variant, selected backend URL when you choose a private backend, and feature availability
We use this information to operate the service, localize content, diagnose errors, protect the backend, and improve reliability.
### Preferences and activity state
The app may store some preferences locally on your device, such as onboarding status, theme preference, selected variant, and local backend configuration.
The app may also send limited state to the backend, such as:
- Selected variant or user preference values
- IDs of items marked as seen
- Saved monitor configuration, including monitor name, trigger text, and selected channels, if you create monitors
We use this information to keep the app experience consistent and avoid repeatedly showing the same items.
### Location permission
If you grant location permission, World Monitor may use your approximate device location to center regional maps, nearby risk context, and country intelligence around your area.
The current iOS app uses location primarily on device for app experience and map context. You can deny or revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings.
### Notifications
If you enable notifications, World Monitor may process notification authorization status and a push notification token so that the app can register for alerts. Notifications are delivered through Apple Push Notification service and World Monitor backend services.
You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.
### Tracking and campaign measurement
World Monitor may request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission. If you grant permission, we may use permitted attribution or campaign measurement data to understand subscription campaign performance and improve offers.
Granting or denying tracking permission does not unlock or block intelligence features. You can change this permission in iOS Settings.
### Purchases and subscriptions
World Monitor Premium purchases are processed through the App Store using StoreKit and AppActor. We may receive or process subscription-related information such as:
- Product identifier
- Entitlement status
- Purchase, renewal, cancellation, or restore status
- Anonymous or provider-issued customer identifiers used to manage access
- Paywall placement or subscription campaign context
Apple processes your App Store payment information. We do not receive your full payment card number or App Store account password.
### Public intelligence, news, maps, markets, and live sources
World Monitor aggregates and displays public or licensed data from external sources, including news feeds, public datasets, map data, market data, live camera catalogs, YouTube streams, and other public intelligence sources.
This content is generally not personal information about you. When you open third-party content, live streams, external articles, YouTube playback, Apple Maps, or provider links, those third parties may process information under their own privacy policies.
### Communications
If you contact us by email or another support channel, we may process your email address, message content, and related support metadata so we can respond.
