Origin, Purpose, Content, Value and Limitations
The approach through IB is to be able recognize and identify the key components in any source; referencing it's origin, purpose, and specific content to help illuminate the source's value in understanding the historic significance for anyone studying a particular historic issue or concern. This is the standard format for source analysis within the IB Individuals and Societies.
Across all grade levels in Social Studies here at LHS you will be expected to critique and analyze sources of all types using these four lenses and making specific reference to the content of the source you are exploring or using.
