US Department of State sponsors the Fulbright Program, which partners with more than 160 countries worldwide to offer international educational cultural exchange programs for students, scholars, artists, teachers and professionals of all backgrounds to study, teach or pursue important research and professional projects.

US Department of State’s Teachers of Critical Language Program (TCLP) is designed to increase the study and acquisition of important world languages in U.S. schools. This program enables primary and secondary schools to strengthen their teaching of Mandarin and Arabic by bringing Chinese, Egyptian, and Moroccan teachers to the U.S. to teach their native languages and culture for an academic year. The exchange teachers receive on-going methodological observation and training opportunities, live and work in an immersive English environment, and receive a certificate of participation following their exchange.

Since 1991, the Farmer-to-Farmer (F2F) program has been transforming lives in over 30 countries in Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia. F2F connects specialized volunteers from the United States with farmers, cooperatives, agribusinesses, extension services, government agencies and other institutions. F2F is funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Volunteers not only offer much-needed training, they also build meaningful relationships, fostering mutual understanding and respect.

The Intercultural Communication Institute (ICI) is a nonprofit charity with the mission of fostering an awareness and appreciation of cultural difference. It offers Summer and Winter Institutes for Intercultural Communication as well as the Qatar Institute for Intercultural Communication. The Intercultural Certificate Program offers several levels of certification that acknowledges your exposure to state-of-the-art theory and practice, knowledge of intercultural practices and growth as an intercultural professional.

Atlantis is an independent global healthcare education organization that partners with 100+ leading public and private hospitals in Europe and Latin America. Its mission is to equip the next generation of global medical leaders with ethical solidity, innovative thinking and a unique cultural perspective. Headquartered in Washington, D.C., it has provided thousands of pre-med students the opportunity to shadow in international hospitals.

The Qatar Foundation International is dedicated to fostering a deeper understanding of the Arab world through the teaching of Arabic and about the region’s societies and cultures. It has established a global network of schools and partners to support learners and educators through a variety of professional learning opportunities, an online database, and multiple grant opportunities.

The Sultan Qaboos Cultural Center (SQCC) is dedicated to educating the people of the United States and Oman about the breadth and richness of our two cultures.
