A two-day workshop exploring the Latin scripts of the Middle Ages

This workshop is designed to provide attendees with an overview of the Latin scripts used in Europe throughout the Middle Ages, with a particular emphasis on those scripts that were more enduring in time and space. This is an exciting opportunity to learn more about medieval scripts and manuscripts, with a mix of sessions on script and opportunities to get up close with fragments from Keio University Library.

An overview of the Latin medieval scripts up to the 10th-11th centuries

Day 2

Overview of the main late medieval scripts using materials from Keio University Library
