Dr Agnieszka Backman

Dr. Agnieszka Backman got her PhD in Scandinavian Languages in 2017 from Uppsala University on the dissertation, The Materiality of the Manuscript: Studies in Codex Holmiensis D 3, the Old Swedish Multitext Manuscript Fru Elins bok. She was a Wallenberg Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University 2019–2021 and now continues working on the same project, Materialities of Medieval Manuscripts in Digital Repositories, at Uppsala University. She is a JSPS Summer Fellow at Keio Media Design.

Dr Manuel Muñoz García

Dr Manuel Muñoz García is a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellow at Keio, and is being hosted by Prof. Satoko Tokunaga at the Faculty of Letters. His expertise is on Latin Palaeography, specifically the late Middle Ages. He also incorporates Digital Humanities into his work, having used digital tool Archetype in both his doctoral work and his current project at Keio. At Keio, he in the process of describing previously undescribed medieval manuscript fragments and documents from Keio’s Munby and Rosenthal collections.
