Lamia has always loved to write. She believes that writing is a way to express herself and create new worlds for her readers. It is a hobby, but she hopes that one day, it will be much more.
As a Bangladeshi-American woman, Lamia hopes to share her unique perspective with the world. She writes op-eds, short stories, personal essays, satire, and more. Lamia aspires to finish her novel!
She attends Williams College in Massachusetts and graduated from Stuyvesant High School in NYC. Lamia has taken courses for Creative Writing and Opinion Writing at the School of the New York Times.
Lamia finds the source of writing in emotion. She writes from experience, bringing her readers into her own life.
When she isn't writing, Lamia reads plenty of novels! Her favorites include And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie, Talking to Strangers by Malcolm Gladwell, and Quiet by Susan McCain.
