Intaglio, 10"x8" photopolymer
Photopolymer plates are sheets of metal, coated with a light-sensitive emulsion. The image is drawn on a transparency, then the plate and the drawing are placed in a light exposure unit. Wherever the plate has been exposed to the light, the emulsion will harden. Rinsing the plate will remove all unexposed emulsion. Once the plate is dry, it can be inked and printed exactly like a copper plate intaglio.
Once the exposure is complete, it is not possible to make adjustments to the image on the plate.
