First model

Once LPub3D is configured you can open your first LDraw model. A very simple and basic model of a pyramid is provided with a standard installation of LDraw. Find that model file (pyramid.ldr) and open it. (If you do not have it or cannot find it, download here).

If all went well the screen should look something like this:

Navigate through the pages by clicking the green arrows at the top or use Continuous Page Processing.

Right-click anywhere on a blank space on the page to show a popup with various options:

Choose the second option <Add Next Steps> and click [OK] on the dialog to specify the amount of steps to show on this page. There are 4 steps in this model and those will fit nice on one page. After a few seconds (depending or your chosen renderer, settings and speed of your machine) the screen should now look like this:

If all went well: congratulations! You've just created your very own instructions.

You can now save the LDraw file and (for example) make a PDF for these instructions.
