Project Details
PRAN system is specially made for people who work in oxygen-deprived areas.
It can be a boon for the medical fraternity in the current pandemic.
Oxygen and air supplies are fed to the system. The flow and pressure of the supplied gases can be controllable. It provides adjustable inhalation and exhalation cycles. In the inhalation cycle, the oxygenated air is given to the patient whereas, the system sucks the air which is exhaled by the user and releases to the atmosphere. But before releasing the exhaled air to the atmosphere, it is required to be filtered just because it contains viruses and bacteria. Therefore, anti-bacterial/anti-viral filters are used to remove viruses/bacteria.
The pulsatile oxygenated air supply helps to optimize the SpO2 level.
It is a surge and back pressure-free system. Medical grade filters, tubing, and mouthpiece are required to use the system.
Users need to feed the respiration rate in the system by adjusting the knob to match the inhalation and exhalation cycles.
Minimal maintenance is required to use the system. The system requires a 24V rechargeable battery or AC line to work.
Received the grant of INR 1,70,000 to develop the device from Student Startup Innovation Policy.
